Leah Hornacek is currently the Deputy Director of Grand Traverse County Central Dispatch, and has been with the department for 13 years. She has filled every position within the center, including Dispatcher, Communications Training Officer, Supervisor, Administrative Supervisor, and started her current position of Deputy Director in 2016. She is also proud to serve as the 2nd Vice President of the Michigan chapter of NENA. Leah enjoys everything about her career in 911, especially the changing technology, and educating the community, both in person and via social media. In her very limited off time, she enjoys the outdoor offerings of Northern Michigan, traveling, mild panic attacks when her 8 year old daughter attempts ninja warrior stunts, humor and sarcasm.
