Friends of 9-1-1 Charity 5k - Team #IAM911

For the past 5 years the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) has hosted the Friends of 9-1-1 Charity 5k run/walk. The 6th annual will be held in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, June 15, 2019. According to runfor911.org, “The Friends of 9-1-1 encourages public support and recognition of 9-1-1 professionals, the unsung heroes of public safety, by generating essential funds to provide scholarships, continuing education opportunities, and wellness programs for 9-1-1 professionals across the United States.”

This year, and for the first time ever, the Within the Trenches podcast will be one of the sponsors for this event. It has been a dream to sponsor a national conference event and I couldn’t be happier to do it for NENA, because this conference is where the podcast made its first national appearance. There are many things that come with sponsoring an event like this and one of those is the opportunity to enter the race with up to 10 team members.
