What is the Virginia NENA/APCO Spring Conference?

The Virginia NENA/APCO Spring Conference is one of two premier events for public safety communications officials in Virginia each year, from frontline telecommunicators to communication center managers to public safety communications equipment and services vendors. Starting May 19, the NENA/APCO Spring Conference offers educational sessions, committee meetings and special events, paired with our sponsors. Our mission is to provide attendees with the tools, strategies, techniques and know-how to help them perform at the highest possible level. We invite you to attend AND participate in sessions that will help you improve your productivity, adapt to the changing industry and engage with your peers.

Who Should Attend?

The Virginia NENA/APCO Spring Conference is a MUST ATTEND for front line telecommunicators, communication supervisors, training officers, and communication center managers. This conference provides an agenda that is focused on enriching your professional development, providing insight to BEST PRACTICES that are working for others. It is appropriate for any and all members of the public safety communications profession.

Conference housekeeping

  • Each session will be done live in the EASTERN TIMEZONE.  

  • Make sure to register even if you cannot attend live because each session will be recorded and available for immediate replay. The best viewing/learning experience will be through this platform.  

  • Do you have to be a dispatcher to register/attend? No. Many people have asked because they are looking at becoming a dispatcher or in general to understand the profession more.
