Public Event - Fundraiser for Allegan County Sheriff K-9 unit
Hello everyone! With all the chaos going on with gas prices it is nice to hear about some good in the world. As I stated in my first entry and within the "About" section, Jabber Log will be highlighting public events as they come along. In a few weeks on May 15th, 2011 a very important public event will take place involving a fundraiser for the Allegan County Sheriff K-9 Unit. The following is brought to you by Meghan Thornton:
"Join us on Sunday May 15 at Salt & Pepper from 1p.m. - 6p.m. to help the Allegan County Sheriff K-9 unit! After the unexpected death of their dog Garo the police department is currently left with too few dogs and without the funds for the two more dogs that they need. The K-9 unit is a vital tool the police have in detecting drugs, explosives, finding missing people, and tracking suspects. With too few dogs, the dogs and their handlers have to work overtime, allowing suspects more time to get away. K-9 dogs are loved and cherished members of the police force; COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT! Bring your family and your dog for a great time and to show our appreciation and support of these wonderful dogs! We will have food, drinks, live music, a dog trick contest, dog bone eating contest, a professional photographer taking pictures of your pet or with the police dogs, a live demonstration of the K-9 dogs, a raffle and silent auction. Thanks to Metal Flow Corporation and to Salt and Pepper!"
There you have it folks! Please come out and show your support on May 15th at Salt & Pepper Savory Grill and Pub 11539 East Lakewood Boulevard #50 Holland, MI for Puppypalooza. If you would like to volunteer for the event please contact Meghan Thornton on Facebook or email her at mgbmfc@yahoo.com. If directions are needed you may call the restaurant at (616) 355-5501. Hope to see you there and thank you for the support!
